A Mindful Way - a book about MindfulnessAuthorJeanie Seward-Magee
Jeanie’s own “mindful way” journey began with much adversity. However, it was the place where she found the greatest teaching of her lifetime; the practice of mindfulness. In a very short period of time she had suffered a large number of personal losses, followed by great grief and deep depression. Years later this led her to write this simple book, A Mindful Way to share with others the wonder of finding a method to live one’s life in the full awareness of each and every moment. Jeanie Seward-Magee, B.S.W., was born and educated in the United Kingdom. She moved to Canada in the mid-1960s and for nearly twenty-five years owned a number of successful human resource companies. Now she is an active mindfulness practitioner, a writer of newspaper articles and books, A Mindful Way Course presenter and a facilitator on the practices of mindfulness worldwide. Jeanie presently resides quietly with her husband John on the mid-Atlantic island of Bermuda. She spends part of each year visiting her four grown-up children and their partners in Toronto, Vancouver and Bowen Island, British Columbia, Canada. She also assists with the Children's Program at Thich Nhat Hanh's annual Summer Retreat in France. This is her first book in a series of books on mindfulness that she is currently writing. |
